Yea.. that's why he's putting more time into the PS3 version to make it on par with the 360/PC version. Carmack has a much bigger issue with the PS3's architecture than any beef he has with M$. The biggest difference is the M$ one is a problem that's easy to solve, where the PS3 problem is one he can't work around (if he wants to release on PS3).

The only thing holding Rage back on the 360 are the royalties on the DVD. Considering the popularity of Rage, M$ will probably scratch ...

But no fvcking way did MGS4 look better than Crysis. No fvcking way.

MGS4 looked mediocre. Almost every game this gen looks like a fvcking acid trip in a crayola factory compared to MGS4. INCLUDING Gears of War and that's saying a lot. If any other game had the graphics and art MGS4 had, nobody would think the graphics were even ok. Be perfectly honest with yourselves.

Uncharted looked better (sans technical issues), bioshock looked better, heavenly sword looked bett...

You should always take things that are translated to spanish, then retranslated to english as what was actually said.

They have downloadable exclusives labeled completely separate from disc exclusives in every graph on the side. 360 still had more exclusives in every category except first party exclusives, but it more than made up for it in third party exclusives.

foodbox's bubbles.

GL... I'll throw you an agree because it made me laugh, but you may as well start making an alt now lol.

It's just a good alternative. We're going to have physical copies of games for a long time (decades at least). That doesn't mean downloaded games won't overtake them as the most popular way to purchase.

People look at DD and consider it to be a replacement for the physical version. It's just an alternative, and a very good alternative for a lot of people.

how do you get around the fact that they are easily trackable locked to your gamertag and probably in some way loosely locked to your console.

You can always REDOWNLOAD a stolen downloaded game. You can't go to the store and repickup a stolen game without paying another $60

I understand why you'd want to end on a high note, but he had an amazing season with a young team. They would have been even better this year if he stayed with it for one more year.

The packers didn't really have a choice though. Like they've been saying for weeks, they already moved on. As much as they probably would have loved him to go on another season, they already put too much work into changing the team to just have him pop back a week before camp starts.

What? It's a hell of a lot easier to steal games than it is to steal hard drives. Robbery is actually a spot where DD has a huge advantage, because you can just download them again, where if a disk gets stolen, you are screwed.

you can only download it 5 times? It can't register it to the machine and ID and give you infinite downloads?

That's kinda lame.

If you get a physical copy it will probably stay $60, but would you download a game if the cost of distribution was cut dramatically so the end price to you was only $40?

I'd probably download all my games so long as I could redownload them if I could save $20 every time.

you suck at metaphors. I drive stick, and it took me 15 minutes to figure out how to drive it the first time.

don't underestimate the learning curve on both the gameplay and level creation of this game though. What you see as blind attacks might just turn into "I told you so"s

Sony has worse return on it's investment a lot of the time though.

The game division is a very very small part of their company; even though they're incredibly well known for it.

Sony's gotten a lot of their stuff in line now. There was a lot of batsh*t crazy stuff being said closer to launch.

Aside from sony not replacing DRE-ed PS2s originally, I have no problem with sony. I have a problem with sony fans.

Their rabid, often logicless, defense of their lord and master has caused me to gain an increasing hatred of anything relating to them.

Congratulations to all of you for forever tainting the company you love so dearly for a large portion of gamers.

it's a level designer. The platforming mechanics aren't accessible at all. It's excruciatingly difficult to navigate around even the simplest levels because of the way it uses depth in the levels (without using a camera that can show you where things are oriented in 3d space).

Of course since all of you have played it already and know that, I guess I'm wrong. It's not like I sat around with a sony rep for an hour and a half trying to figure out how to control it better or anythin...

PS3 has a long way to go and two huge competitors already nearing the price point where the PS2 really started to take off. It might make similar sales, but it's going to lose a huge chunk of the market(percent wise) too.

They should replace the arcade with the pro.

The only positive here is that the 360 is going to be at the <$200 sweet spot.

If they could get the 20gb pro down to 200 at a small loss, they would probably sell a crazy amount.

It was designed to last 5-6 like the average lifespan between almost all consoles. It's going to do at least that too performance wise.
